Kindred brings people in our community together to make positive change. We invest in socially-trading organisations (STOs) to create a kinder, fairer economy in Liverpool City Region. We do this through money, support and collaboration.
So far, we’ve invested £2 million in 44 socially trading organisations – and supported hundreds more. This money is repayable, with the option to repay some of it in social impact.
Our aim – alongside the people we work with – is to transform the social economy, driving responsible and sustainable economic growth. This includes growing £5m social investment into £50m, creating 4,500 new jobs and supporting more social businesses to start up.
We put social value at the heart of economic growth, giving businesses the right support to help them grow their impact and benefit the communities they are rooted in.
Kindred is part of an ecosystem of organisations supporting social businesses in Liverpool City Region, with a shared vision for our places. We see a city region to be proud of – a place where everybody feels involved and is an active part of the economy.
